My Brain is What??

Your Brain is 47% Female, 53% Male

Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female
You are both sensitive and savvy
Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed
But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve
What Gender Is Your Brain?

My friend Grace is good at finding these quizzlets. I like most of them, but I was deeply disappointed to find out that I'm Dishcloth Cotton. I tried all sorts of different choices, but I am still Dishcloth Cotton. It must be because I don't have the faintest idea who Christian Slater is.

On other topics, I've been knitting, though I don't have any new pictures. I finished a gift scarf that I started ages ago, and that will go to its new home tomorrow. I *finally* figured out what I was doing wrong with Cheryl Oberle's Highland Triangle Shawl (in her book Folk Shawls), and I'm now working on the third increase. I really need this shawl; it's been COLD here. Over the weekend it hit 28F, and we have probably lost quite a few plants. Monday morning about 8:30 when I got up, the thermostat hadn't kicked on, and it was 60F indoors, 45F outdoors.

And today was my second trip to the vet's this week. Monday it was Midnight, for a re-check of her kidney levels. DH and I are very happy that her reading has dropped from 53 in October to 39; the top of the normal range is 36. Today it was Shadow, who has been wheezing/coughing a lot. Her x-rays show that her lungs look clear, though we won't have her other test results back until Friday. When I think of all the yarn I could have bought with the $$$ vet's bills, I'm still glad that we can afford to take good care of our furry companions.

What a nicely androgynous, I mean balanced brain you have. :)

Ha! Discloth Cotton!! I am really LOL at this. Vamanta got this one too and was exceedingly dismayed.

I am Shetland Wool...so how do you like them apples?? I was relieved.

Hope both kitties are doing fine and that knitting mojo is with you.

I'm Shetland Wool too--I guess, kinda scratchy?? Hope your kitties are doing better--I think it's worse when animals or babies are sick, cause they can't tell you where it hurts! (Although, sometimes you might really rather NOT know...) Looks like you're knitting right along on your projects. And here's hoping your plants survive--the kind of freeze we've had will mostly hurt but not kill.

dishcloth cotton wears like iron...comes in amazing variety of colors...practical...useful...lovely...affordable...so what's wrong with that...(hey, and Christian Slater...a big enh..) glad you and furkids are ok...was getting a little worried about you.

Barbara ~ Wow, you and I came out the same on the dishcloth cotton, and the Brain Gender quiz! I really didn't like being dishcloth cotton, but was delighted with what a well balanced brain I have LOL

Hope both your kitties stay/get well, and that nothing major is wrong. And yes, it's been very cold here for the last week or so. Today, snow in Malibu? Ye gods!

I just find all the quizzes from visiting lots of blog. My oldest daughter called last night and asked her dad if I could make her a rice bag that you heat in the microwave and I answered I could but everytime I put down the knitting needles a mouse jumps into my hand and I wind up on the computer, now they want me to sew too??????

Yikes, brrrr. Saw on the news that parts of LA even had snow. Good time to wear those pretty fingerless mitts.
Hope Shadow is doing OK.

Hi CBM, My brain test is just opposite of yours: 53 female and 47 male, but I too am dishcloth cotton! I did the test a couple of times-both times dishcloth cotton! These little quizlets are fun, but not too revealing.

Oh, the weather! Colorado no longer has all the news coverage! Really bad to hear of CA's cold. Just heard that it's been in low 20's overnight in the Central Valley where I was from. We are still surrounded by white here!

Take care of the kittens.

CBM, I am also very depressed to be dishcloth cotton, as Jayne pointed out. No more of Grace's quizzes for me! ;-)

Welcome to a taste of New England weather! See why we all love our woolies so much?

I'm mohair-because I am fluffy and hide mistakes well.

Great.

Glad Shadow and Midnight are doing better; it's no fun when the furries are under the weather.

And I'm shetland wool. Hmm. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, judging from the description, but I do love me a good Scottish tweed!
