My Bit of Fame

A year or so ago, one of the talented knitter/designers who is part of the regulars at the Elann Chat site had a chance for a book of her designs. Several of us 'Elannites' knitted up the patterns and sent them off to Elann, which was supporting the project. Sadly, the book deal didn't work out, but the finished designs and projects have been appearing as featured projects with the yarn used.

TODAY is the day that my project shows up! Woot! The bolero jacket is being shown on the beautiful Margaux, who is the spokesmodel for Elann.

Somehow the professional photographer didn't take any pictures of this from the back, so I'm posting the pictures I took of the bolero on me. Sorry, but it's far less elegant-looking with my ponytail and plaid shorts, lol!!

I'm going to be posting detail closeups at Ravelry, though if anyone should want these, with knitting the bolero in mind, LMK and I'll send them to you.

I'm jazzed!

Hi CBM ~ Oh, it's absolutely exquisite!!!! O.K., follow these instructions: Stand up, take pointer finger of right hand and place perpendicularly to center of head. Now, while waving left arm and wagging said hand, twirl and do a Happy Dance!..and sing your favorite song...!

I LOVE it and have to have it...and you know me and any lace pattern. I am going - right now - back to the elann site and order the yarn and run off the pattern.

I love the design - and whoever backed out of the designer's book deal really goofed - big-time.

Hugs, Joanne Mc

Oh, it looks good on you too! What a nice little wrap-me-up on a cool evening in your sunny CA.

Yuck-o about the bunged up knee. you need little bumper pads or a helmet or something, lol. :)

Oh Barbara you did a fabulous job on it. It looks great on you too
Sorry about the bummed knee. Knee pains stink. I hope it heals quickly

Well done, Barbara! It looks absolutely lovely on you. You should be (as we British types say) "right chuffed". Too bad it wasn't published in a book, then you would have got your name in the credits.

I'll just have to wait for your scarf book to come out - hint, hint.
